Hello everyone.
I am newbie in this field, and I have been trying to read and understand and then eventually develop some web services but there are some terms I am confused with.I tried to search them online but without a great success.Would someone please spare some time and prove me lil details of these terms to help me understand them better.I know you may :D at the question,but I need to start somewhere.
1-what is Src and what EPSG , OSGB_BNG,osni_ING terms mean? is there any link/website that explains how their x,y,minx.miny and so on co ordinates work and can be defined?
2-what is TaxonReportingCategory Key
in Species list web service:
what Species DEsignation means? i mean what are BIODIVERSITY_ACTION_PLAN ,,SNH_SCOTTISH_LIST,,,SPECIES_OF_CONSERVATION_CONCERN,,MARLIN_MARINE_SPECIES and whats difference between them.

Hi Mike,

the TaxonReportingCategory is perhaps a bit clumsily named, but it is a rough high level taxonomic grouping used to filter queries by.  For example, you may only be interested in terrestrial mammals, so you can use the relevant key (NHMSYS0000080085) in your query to make sure that's all you get data for in your response.
