Re: Identify Network or Stand-alone

Hi,

This is slightly embarassing but we have managed to lose track of which version of Recorder 6 we have installed for access via Citrix.  A previous IT technician went through various OS and SQL server (and quite possibly installation CD) combinations until finding one that worked.

How can you tell if you have a Network or Stand-alone installation?

Re: Identify Network or Stand-alone

A standalone installation will typically have one folder for the application files called Recorder 6. A network installation will typically have one on the server called Recorder 6 Server and folders on the workstations called Recorder 6 Workstation. By default Recorder 6 Workstation will contain folders called Base Maps and Map Files, Recorder 6 Server will not contain a Map Files folder. The installation guides provide more information – see the documents at the end of http://jncc.defra.gov.uk/page-4595 . These haven’t been updated for some time but they still contain much useful information.
