Re: DMAP Digitizer

I have uploaded an add which I developed for my on use  which may be of use to DMAP users and others who do not have access to  GIS system.

It converts the output from the DMAP Digitizer into a .mif file format which can be loaded as a boundary into Recorder 6.

The DMAP digitizer cost £25.00 and details can be found on the DMAP web site. It allows a boundary to be digitised from a bit map file as long as it has a basic OS grid. I use it because it is very simple to use and can cope with bit map images which  are slightly skewed or which have come from poor photo copies. It also useful for digitising boundaries from aerial photographs as long as a few reasonably accurate grid points can be established.

The addin  file is at http://forums.nbn.org.uk/uploads.php?file=LCDAMPDigiProject.zip

When loaded the addin is in the tools menu.
