I have tried several times to get my copy of Recorder 6 v 6.13a which I've loaded onto my new Windows 7 Net Book working. When I try to open it I get the database login screen and on completing it I get "SQL-DMO Service Control Error" this happens for both the options. I've tried the obvious a couple of times has anyone any ideas? I suspect the solution is either something simple or an operator error.

I am not sure about this particular error, but  6.13 didn't install very easily under Vista so probably will not do so under Windows 7.  Did you install it using the Vista installation instruction ?  Can you try right clicking on the Recorder 6 icon and run as Administrator.  Otherwise I suggest that you get a 6.15 or 6.16 instlaltion CD and try that.
