Re: Recorder6 install on SQL 2005 server stuck

Hi,
We are currently trying to install the recorder6 (V6.15) onto one of our SQL2005 servers (32 bit).  We logged into the server as the local administrator and started the install.  We have put in the site id, SQL sa password etc and have got to the the screen that says "configuring the database" but the screen is stuck with the yellow line going between the two icons, we can not click on next or back, the option that is available to click on is cancel.  This install has been going for over 2 hours now !!! When we check in SQL server, the database is there, the mdf and ldf files are in the correct places, the new database has lots of tables in it and there are users created.  What will happen if we click cancel or will it actually finish ?  can someone please advise ?  We can not leave it like this for much longer as it is the bank Holiday tomorrow.  Are there know issues with this install ? As this is the first recorder install we have done, any advice will be appreciated.

If you click on cancel the Recorder will automatically be removed. I assume that by now  you have done this and cancelled the installation so I suggest you try again and if this gets stuck then don't click on cancel, but  stop the set up process through task manager. You may then have a working version of Recorder, and any problems with it can then be investigated.

Re: Recorder6 install on SQL 2005 server stuck

Hi, We had to cancel this and this has not removed the things it had created like the database, etc.  We beleive it has only part installed though as it did not created the user within logins , it has just created the user in the database.  The Operating system on the server is Windows 2008 standard server service pack 2.
