Re: Minor duplication isuue

Only a tiny point, but worth making...

In our SITE_STATUS table there are two consecutive entries (SSKs NBNSYS0000000025 and NBNSYS0000000026) for the same status LNR. I suspect this is a hangover from Recorder 3 days.

There's enough confusion in the LNR designation process without our reporting being inaccurate as well. In most cases the existence of two entries will make no difference because they are nearly identical, but it is worth checking out which have been recorded against on your system. I found that almost all of our LNRs were recorded against the second item, but two were against the first.

I have corrected the problem on our system and chenged  the two odd ones to match the rest, I would like to delete the errant item, but cannot do so safely since I do not have custodianship and if the item were removed it might cause problems importing from other Recorder 6 systems. As a stopgap measure I have changed the name of the offending item to DO NOT USE and added an appropriate note in the description field.

A prpoer fix would require running a script first to change all entries to one or the other (00000026 has text in the description field while 25 does not so I chose to keep 26), prior to removing the other item from the list. These could perhaps be done as part of a dictionary upgrade.
