Re: Import wizard verification

Could some one point me to guidance on importing the determination information. I imported records with a determiner name that was different to the recorder name. I also added a field with detertermination type as correct.
Recorder has recorded each record twice. It shows the correct recorder in the feild observation recorder tab but under the taxon record it shows the determiner as the original recorder (which they arn't). the dertermination type is correct although it says it hasn't passed verification.

On import I want to give the correct fields so the determiner is not the original recorder and the record is shown as passed verification if the determination type is set as correct. Is that possible or is better to resort back to the batch updates after the import.

Thanks

There is a known problem with the verified indicator on Taxon_Occurrence, which determines whether the record is shown as passed verification etc.  There is a batch update  which will correct this in File Uploads on the forum.  It can be run after each import or  as required to bring the indicator in line with the determination type

In order to stop the recorder being the original recorder you need to include the determiner role in the import file.

I can't  get Recorder to duplicate any records, If this remains a problem please can you let me have a file which generates the problem.

Re: Import wizard verification

Dear Mike
Thanks a lot for your quick reply. I deleted the survey and imported again with determiner type and role and then the determinations were correct. I then ran the batch update as suggested and the records show as 'passed verification'.

I had duplicates again and now realise they were in the original dataset. Hundreds of them!! Sorry for that.
