Re: Error upgrading dictionaries

I have just applied Dictionary updates R, S & T, but when I go into Recorder, HELP is reporting I'm only on Dictionary version "R" - any ideas?

Re: Error upgrading dictionaries

I've checked the Recorder tables and S & T have definitely not been applied, so ideas why not appreciated

I also seem to have a lot of copies of RecorderUpgrade.exe - I am running Rec 6.15.4.238 but the highest version of RecorderUpgrade.exe I have 6.14.4.212 - does this need upgrading itself? I assume I need to get rid of the older versions?

Re: Error upgrading dictionaries

Are you sure you put the correct files in the Scripts folder in \Dictionary Upgrade Kit V3\Dictionary Upgrade Kit and ran the DictionaryUpgrade.exe in it? You shouldn’t be running RecorderUpgrade.exe to do dictionary upgrades. That is for software upgrades. To apply R, S & T, the Scripts folder in the Dictionary Upgrade Kit should contain 0000000R.ini, 0000000R.zip, 0000000S.ini, 0000000S.zip and 0000000T.sql when DictionaryUpgrade.exe is run.

Can you please check DB Seq in the Setting table. If you are on v6.15.4.238 it should be 0000007X. If it isn’t, the next software upgrade may not run correctly.

Re: Error upgrading dictionaries

Doh :o Thanks Sally, just realised I was running "RecorderUpdate" rather than "DictionaryUpdate" - this was not due to a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of ability to read :( not even noticing the difference.

Recorder is now correctly up to dictionary T

Hi Sally,

I've checked DB Seq and it is still set to 0000007X
