Not had this one before - occurs when trying to copy text (Ctrl-C) from e.g. the abundance column of a recording card (but apparently only on one computer). Tends to happen the second time you press Ctrl-C, but other times at random (it sometimes works fine)

Hi Charlie,
I can't reproduce this, but I have seen something like this before. In my case, the clipboard was being locked by another application, and was therefore not available for any Windows application, not just Recorder. The guilty app was Virtual PC if that helps.

That was my first though, but it works on the second (or third) attempt - i.e. try once, get the error, press Ctrl-C again and its fine (I've no idea how clipboard locking works - is the transient nature of the error expected)?

Maybe it's a virus scanner or something similar scanning and therefore locking the clipboard? Might be worth turning off all virus scanners and other similar things to see if that has an effect. Seems a bit of a long shot, though.
