Just a quick note to summarise a couple of points that came from installing Recorder on Terminal Server using Windows 2008 Server. Posted here for safe-keeping and in case they help anyone else.
1) You have to exclude RecorderApp.exe from Data Execution Prevention
2) The WorkstationSetup application needs to run using Windows 2003 compatibility.
