Re: Exporting records for a subset of species

We have a species list of threatened lichens set up in a rucksack and use it to extract records from the database for reporting, but can we do the same to export them to other systems or the NBN Gateway?

So far as I can see a rucksack can be used to export locations and people, but not to select the records for particular species.

Re: Exporting records for a subset of species

If you use the Report Wizard to do a report of the observations for the species in your rucksack you will be able to export them using the Export Data option on the Report Output menu on the filter result. That exports the selected observations in a form suitable for importing into another copy of Recorder 6 or, if you have the NBN Exchange add-in installed, in NBN Exchange format. I presume you do your report by opening the rucksack prior to starting the wizard then selecting Current Rucksack or Current Rucksack (Expanded) when you are selecting a check list.

Thanks, Sally. I don't often use rucksacks and had missed that one.
