Re: Restoring database

Hi,

I've managed to back up the Recorder 6 database without any problems (I am using version 6.14.5.218 with a network installation).
I do have some problems however when I try to restore the backup. I've got the following error message: "Failed to back up the database because you do not have permission".
This happens even though I have full administration rights to the machine and I have full access to the network drive when using my own login. The only way I can restore the database is to be logged in as administrator.
Is it possible to restore the database without having to be logged in as administrator?

Thanks,

Nathalie

Re: Restoring database

Hi Nathalie
Just picked this one up. Are you still having problems with this?
One question, when you say logged in as administrator, do you mean in logged in as system manager in Recorder, or logged in as a network admin? You mention having full admin rights to the machine in the line before so I presume you aren't referring to being logged in as a local machine admin. I would expect you to need to be logged in as local machine admin in order to use the restore facility though.
