Re: Dictionary changes during Recorder 6 upgrade

Hi,

This might be a dumb question, but can anyone tell me if the biotope dictionary gets overwritten during a normal upgrade.  We are currently still running on v6.3 and have a user-created biotope classification list in our dictionary with a number of child biotopes.  When we upgrade to v6.7 (or possibly v6.9 if we don't pull our finger out) will this classification be deleted during the upgrade or will it survive intact?

Does anyone else have user-created biotope classifications or codes and if so, do you experience any problems with upgrades or transfering records between Recorder instances?

Many thanks,
Andy.

Hi Andy,

No, custom items aren't overwritten in upgrades and so, yes, your classification will survive intact.
