Hi I have successfully loaded R6 onto my laptop running Vista (using Mike's instructions) but would like to copy the R6 database over from my computer (running XP). I have tried the back-up / restore route but get the message that it cant logon onto the NBNdatabase. I've never used SQL before and am a bit stumped as to where to go from here. Any help appreciated, thanks

I have a similar problem: the computer that held R6.14 had to be replaced. The new computer has R6.15. When I try to restore the original database from NBNData.bak, an error says the database login failed. Both computers are XP Pro SP3.

Hopefully all you will need  to do is to run the following in Management Studio. It need to be run against NBNdata (not Master). 

exec sp_change_users_login 'update_one', 'nbnuser', 'nbnuser'

If you need further help with this let me know.

Also once you have restored from backup you will need to run the upgrade from 6.14 to  6.15 in order to get your 6.14 database in line with the 6.15 software.
