On a standalone installation that has been transferred to a new computer, if one gets the following message when attempting to run a backup, what permissions need to be setup?

'failed to backup database because you do not have permission'

Sorry for the late reply - I didn't spot this at the time. Have you tried granting db_backupoperator to the user?
