Is it feasible to rectify these errors through editing the base table?
Is it advisable?

The first situation is for system supplied data;
The aggregate Myotis mystacinus/brandtii from the BCT 04 list of names, when reported, sorts out at the top of the Terrestrial mammals, with the rest of the bats some way down.

The second instance is for the taxons one enters oneself. (Vole sp.)

Can one edit the entry with an appropriate sort number?
If so, which table(s) are critical?
