Re: Only four lines can be saved for an address

Only four lines can be saved for an address.

My address has 5 lines...

Things like c/o, PO boxes, flat numbers will all extend the address to beyond 4 four lines.

Most of the lines in a UK address are unused though Charlie, really the first line and the postcode are the only ones that matter.

I usually leave the county out first, then the town if earlier lines are really necessary.

The problem comes with overseas addresses, where postcode systems are less advanced

That's not really the point - my address has 5 lines therefore it can't be entered correctly onto the system. I also doubt very much that Royal Mail would be able to find my house with only the first and last lines of the address - they struggle with all of them. It's also very unprofessional sending correspendence to:

Natural England
S1 2ET

What about:

Flat 4a
SE15 2AS

?

And what about departments? or c/o's?
