In the names and addresses addresses tab, in the from field:

The start date must be a valid vague date and it cannot be after today's date of...

Future addresses can exist (unlike occurences etc. -  although this might be a feature for the next version ;)) - "as of 21/03/2010 our new address will be..." is a common sight on business correspondence.
