Recorder 6 is having a problem exporting using the exports for Recording Schemes (Tools - Export Management - Contribute to Scheme).

It will do the export, and will e-mail the export files, but once the e-mail sent, I get an unhandled error (see error log below).  As far as I know, the records seemed to have exported sucessfully, but the export isn't being recorded.  When I go to Manage Recording Schemes, the last contribution date still shows the previous date - it doesn't show the export that I have just done.

I imported the records into an old standalone copy of Recorder 2002, to see if they worked.  It was only a couple of records, but two of them hadn't imported properly (no sample attached).  Those records were entered on Recorder 6, the other records (which had imported) were originally entered on Recorder 2002, and had been updated/changed since I did the last export (though I think this was before we installed Recorder 6).

When I upgraded to 6.14, I got the error message about 'the upgrade of the linked Access database had failed, but wouldn't affect the core functions'.  Would this have affected the exporting?

I am working on an xml report that I can use to export all records entered/changed since a particular date - as I was using the Recording Schemes export to get records across to MapInfo each month (extremely clunky method I know, but the only way I could just get new/changed records).  Hopefully, this will mean that I don't need to use the Recording Schemes export - depends how my xml reporting goes!

Hi Eleanor,

This sounds like a bug - the %s should be replaced with a value but isn't being.
Are these the same export filters you used ok in 6.13?
We cannot reproduce this here as yet is it possible that you could send us the filter file you are using as well as the scheme definition file (you should be able to save these when you set them up - not sure exactly where they would be stored in the folders of Recorder 6 - hopefully that would be more obvious to you as you will know the names etc).

It would be useful if you could these to us this week as there is a maintenance release coming out soon and it would be good to include this in it.

Hi Lynne,

I don't think I have run these exports using Recorder 6.  I did the last one on 25th August, but we didn't install Recorder 6 until September.  I checked that the exports were there, but didn't use them until yesterday.

The export filters are based on 10k grid squares.  I think I have found the correct files, so will e-mail them to you directly.  I am away from October 1st to 12th (I'm the only person in DBRC who uses these exports) so hopefully you won't need any more info.
