Please tell me - why is recorder 6 attaching records to the wrong location?  We have entered data using recording cards, but when we have tried to find the records to check them, they are in the wrong place.  For example:

Records were entered for Ilsington Wood (a site) with grid ref SX790762 and date 01/11/96.  I found the sample for Ilsington Wood attached to the event for South Park Wood (also a site) grid ref SX731695, date 01/11/96.  Both sets of records had the same date and same recorder, but had very different grid references.

Records were entered for Trew's Weir (a location, not a site) grid ref SX924917, date 24/09/08.  I found the sample for Trew's Weir attached to the event for Duck's Marsh (a site) grid ref SX931906, date 12/09/08.  Both sets of records had the same recorder, but very different grid references.

The records always end up in the right survey, and they always have something in common (usually the recorder) but there is no rhyme nor reason as to why they are attaching to the wrong site.

Please tell me that this has been fixed in 6.14.  We don't want to have to play hunt the record every time we enter something.  Also, Recorder frequently crashes when we use recording cards

Hi Eleanor,

From a quick check of what you have outlined this doesn't appear to be happening in 6.14. Did you match the location on the recording card or simply type in the grid reference?

Is it particular recording cards that you are using when it Recorder crashes or is it all/any of them (ie random) - it is possible that certain recording cards have become corrupted somehow. If they are based on rucksacks and these appear to be working ok then it might be worth recreating the cards. Also if you have created a rucksack outside of Recorder and then built a card form it within Recorder without saving it int he rucksack interface problems can sometimes occur.
