Re: Compartment centroid - a new spatial reference qualifier term
A useful way of recording vascular plants (in particular) on a site is to divide the area up into habitat-based compartments and produce separate lists for each compartment. A mid-point grid reference is then assigned to each compartment. In order to properly store these data on Recorder it is necessary to unambiguously indicate the significance of this grid reference. None of the current spatial reference qualifiers are suitable and there is a need for an additional term - compartment centroid.
Does anyone else have a similar need?
