We recently updated the taxonomy of the NBN Atlas, however there was an issue in the higher taxonomy linkage (now fixed in the NHM UKSI database)  but it has caused a roll on effect in the NBN Atlas update process when handling name matching.

The full list of impacted species and the associated higher taxonomy is listed in the attached file.

Please note that this relates only to the handling of names and the discoverability of the records that use the impacted TKVs. No data has been lost. We are working to resolve this issue with a new update from the UKSI but will undertake additional sanity checks of the data to ensure the issue is fully resolved. We anticipate a fix later this month.

A warning is also being placed on the NBN Atlas landing page.
