Topic: Won't update post fresh install on Windows 10

Hi Graham,

Frustratingly I 've never managed to get Record Cleaner after an install to update under Windows 10. It just hangs with "Connecting to Remote Server - Please ensure that your Internet connection is active".

It is active and my firewall is configured for both incoming and outgoing traffic for RC. It was installed running as administrator and is running under the same.

Has anyone else struggled here? I had no problems at all under Windows 7.

The NBN Record Cleaner was developed to work on Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems and it appears that the update link no longer works when running it under Windows 10.

The update link provides the mechanism to update the species dictionary used by the NBN Record Cleaner so that you may no longer be using the latest version of this master species list taken from the UK Species Inventory. The master species list can be updated manually on a fresh install of the NBN Record Cleaner and I attach a zipped file containing the two latest master species list files, along with instructions on how to do this.
