Sorry Matt.

Looks like it was a problem with the way I was passing the POST data. I tried something else and it's now working.

I assume you've implemented some kind of maximum search area as described above.

Yes, there is a maximum area for searches, I think its currently around 10km^2 for a pure polygon search and thats upped to 700 with other filters, this may change in the future if we find that the load is too much or we find a more efficient way to do things
