In case it's of help to others I've attached an example species list sorted three ways: that produced after running Mike's XML; that produced by R6 dictionaries 1S; that produced by R6 dictionaries 1Q.

There are a few species that come out with identical sort codes after running the XML, e.g. the six plants with code 02500000000. I don't know if this is as expected and are examples of the anomalies and problems with the old ordering?
