Having looke further null has always been allowed in Taxon_Determination comments , so perhaps the Import Wizard is not to blame, but that the problem is somewhere in the process which updates the preferred indicator on Taxon Determination. However, I am now certain that Taxon_Determination comment is implicated.

I've just tried adding a determination to a record with a comment, and it still fails after creating the new determination, leaving two preferred determinations.
The problems I've been experiencing have never involved the import wizard directly.

After updating to Dictionary P, I've just tried to add a second redetermination to a record and .... it worked no error - I can't see why updating the dictionary should cure this problem, but I've now redetermined six occurrences, all without the normal error message :)
Sadly the same is not the case here.
I have now discovered the error is intermittently still there, but I am able to redetermine some records, but not others - cannot for the life of me see a pattern in those working and those failing :(
Is version 6.15 anywhere near release yet? The last release date I recall was mid June. It would be rather handy to be able to re-determine records again after a break of nearly six months.

My apologies for the delay in the release of 6.15. There were a few issues picked up in the last testing phase which are now being fixed. We will need to test again so the release may not be for a few weeks. However I cannot guarantee a time-scale. Sorry for the frustration this is causing.

Are you now saying that the bug with adding determinations will now be fixed in the new 6.15 release. We have a lot of pressure to get our data verified and so this is holding up us getting this done.

Not sure if this the same bug that I'm encountering, but I've found when the "range check error" error comes up, if I click continue, the new determination remains, okay it, but then go through all the other determinations clicking the edit button for each one and okaying them, then save, the range check error doesn't come up.
Does that make sense?
