Topic: Error on Dictionary Upgrade 3C to 3E

Hi All,
Yesterday we upgraded our network install of R6 from 6.18 to 6.25.1. This all seems to go fine. We were already running dictionary 3B.

So i then tried to run the 3C to 3E upgrade and get a nasty error:

Error occurred running script 0000003E.sql. The error is described as: The DELETE statement conflicted with the REFERENCE constraint "FK_TAXON_VERSION_TAXON". The conflict occurred in database "NBNData", table "dbo.TAXON_VERSION", column 'TAXON_KEY'.

Anyone any idea of the cause or fix?

At the moment i've restored from backup and R6 is working fine again. But we need to install this and the next dictionary upgrades.

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Re: Error on Dictionary Upgrade 3C to 3E

It means that your dictionary has got out of step at some time. I can provide a revised version of the script which is causing the problem, but do not have access to it just at the moment. This will provide a temporary solution, but the underlying problem may need some further action. http://forums.nbn.org.uk/viewtopic.php?id=6543

Thanks Mike - just sent you an email. I'll get a copy of our DB zipped and loaded onto Dropbox.
